Overview

Use Manage Beneficiaries to add or remove beneficiaries for eligible accounts. A beneficiary is a person you designate to inherit assets on the account. To access this flow, open Account Options and click Manage under Manage Beneficiaries. Account Options screen showing Open a New Account, Manage Certificates, and Manage Beneficiaries options

Add a Beneficiary

Step 1 - Select an account

On the Manage Beneficiaries screen, click Add Beneficiary next to the account you want to update. Manage Beneficiaries account list with Add Beneficiary actions

Step 2 - Enter beneficiary details

Complete all required fields on Add Beneficiary Information:
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Social Security Number (SSN)
  • Date of Birth (DOB)
  • Relationship
Click Next.

Step 3 - Confirm and submit

Review the summary on Confirm Beneficiary Information and click Confirm Beneficiary.

Step 4 - Success

After submission, a success modal confirms the beneficiary was added. Success modal confirming beneficiary has been added

Remove a Beneficiary

Step 1 - Locate the beneficiary

On the Manage Beneficiaries screen, expand the account and find the beneficiary card you want to remove. Manage Beneficiaries screen with existing beneficiary cards and Remove links

Step 2 - Confirm removal

Click Remove on the beneficiary card. In the Remove Beneficiary modal, review the beneficiary details and click Remove Beneficiary. Remove Beneficiary confirmation modal showing beneficiary details

Step 3 - Success

A success modal confirms the beneficiary was removed. Success modal confirming beneficiary has been removed Note Removing a beneficiary is permanent. To add that person again later, complete the Add Beneficiary flow again.
