Account Opening Overview
From the CD management section, customers can open new deposit accounts without leaving online banking. Four account types are available:- Certificate of Deposit (CD) — fixed-term savings with a guaranteed rate and APY
- Checking — everyday transaction accounts with no or minimal fees
- Savings — basic interest-bearing savings accounts
- Money Market — higher-minimum accounts with competitive rates

Opening a Certificate of Deposit
Step 1 — Select a CD term
The Certificate of Deposit Account Types screen lists all available CD terms along with their APY, interest rate, and minimum balance. Click Open on the term you want to open.
Step 2 — Fund your new CD
The Certificate of Deposit Open Options screen displays the selected CD details at the top. In the Fund your new certificate of deposit section:- Select funding account — choose the source account from the dropdown
- Funding amount — enter the amount to deposit (must meet the minimum balance)
- Check the I accept the Terms and Conditions checkbox


Step 3 — Transfer Authorization
A Transfer Authorization modal summarises the funding transaction before it is submitted. Review the details:| Field | What it shows |

| Funding Source | The masked account number of the source account |
| Funding Amount | The amount being transferred |
| APY | Annual percentage yield for the selected term |
| Interest Rate | Interest rate for the selected term |

Step 4 — Success
A Success confirmation modal confirms your new CD has been funded.
Opening a Checking Account
Step 1 — Select a checking account type
The Checking Account Types screen shows all available checking products. Click Open on the account type you want.
Step 2 — Fund your new checking account
The Checking Account Open Options screen displays the selected account details at the top. Fill in:- Select funding account — choose the source account from the dropdown
- Funding amount — enter the initial deposit amount
- Check the I accept the Terms and Conditions checkbox


Step 3 — Transfer Authorization
A Transfer Authorization modal confirms the funding details before submission.
Step 4 — Success
A Success modal confirms the checking account has been funded.
Opening a Savings Account
Step 1 — Fund your new savings account
The Savings Account Open Options screen displays the Savings Account details and a funding form. Fill in:- Select funding account — choose the source account from the dropdown
- Funding amount — enter the initial deposit (minimum balance is $0.00)
- Check the I accept the Terms and Conditions checkbox


Step 2 — Transfer Authorization
A Transfer Authorization modal shows the funding summary.
Step 3 — Success
A Success modal confirms the savings account has been funded.
Opening a Money Market Account
Step 1 — Fund your new money market account
The Money Market Account Open Options screen displays the account details and a funding form. Fill in:- Select funding account — choose the source account from the dropdown
- Funding amount — enter the initial deposit (minimum balance is $250.00)
- Check the I accept the Terms and Conditions checkbox


Step 2 — Transfer Authorization
A Transfer Authorization modal shows the funding summary.
Step 3 — Success
A Success modal confirms the money market account has been funded.
Note After any successful account opening, an alert notification confirmation is sent to the customer. If a funding transfer fails — for example, if the source account has insufficient funds — an error message is displayed and no account is created.
